WIRED for wonder

The future of learning is ancestral, immersive, and intelligent.

Langston Labs is the research and innovation studio of Langston League, where emerging technology meets ancestral storytelling.
We design immersive, interactive tools that make learning unforgettable—whether through extended reality experiences, AI-powered platforms, or curriculum built for the digital classroom.

Born during our CEO’s time at Harvard’s Learning, Design, Innovation & Technology program, Langston Labs was created to build ethical educational systems that reconnect us to the histories we were never meant to forget. We design learning experiences that spark inquiry, build critical consciousness, and scale imagination—from XR journeys through hidden histories to LMS-integrated curriculum that travels across classrooms.

We’re here to collaborate—with educators, technologists, and cultural institutions ready to reimagine what’s possible.

Let’s build something that lasts.

GAMING & CODING TUTORIALS

🎮 MICROSOFT PARTNERSHIPS & AWARD-WINNING GAMES

Award-winning coding games built for the culture.

Langston Labs partnered with Microsoft and Xbox to develop two groundbreaking, culturally responsive games: Wakanda Forever: The Official MakeCode Game and Harlem CodeTrotters, an interactive coding journey inspired by the Harlem Globetrotters.

These projects were built in close collaboration with Ms. Robotics and Langston League’s development team, who brought technical expertise, cultural insight, and classroom-tested design strategies to the table. We paired these titles with standards-aligned, classroom-ready curriculum, ensuring they weren’t just playable, but teachable.

The Wakanda Forever game earned two Clio Awards for excellence in branded entertainment and was featured across global platforms for its innovative approach to representation in the edtech sector.

📰 Langston League CEO Erica Buddington was featured in Forbes for this historic collaboration—highlighting how the Wakanda Forever game makes coding accessible, joyful, and affirming for Black youth.

IMMERSIVE LEARNING & EXTENDED REALITY (XR)

Designing the future of historical storytelling.

Langston Labs develops immersive extended reality (XR) experiences that help learners move beyond the textbook and into the world. Using AR/VR technologies and geolocated storytelling, we’re building tools that invite users to step into spaces where history happened and ask: What was erased here—and why?

Whether paired with a virtual guide, archival assets, or curriculum extensions, our XR work brings layered narratives to life in classrooms, museums, and public spaces.

🚧 Our latest XR experience will launch in August 2025. Stay tuned.
